This person will have companywide responsibility for planning, directing and supervising acquisition and divestiture of the company's mineral interests, land rights, lease maintenance, and contract negotiations. Candidate will oversee the preparation and review of deeds, easements, and leases. Ensure compliance with government agencies, landowners, and investors during all phases of development. A downtown Houston law firm seeks Landman for full-time position.

Must have 3-5 years oil and gas title experience. Bachelor’s degree and field experience preferred.

Job duties include:

Reviewing title documents regarding leasehold and mineral ownership;
Conducting and coordinating land and title transaction due diligence;
Assisting with preparation of oil and gas acquisition and financing documents;
Managing public record filings of transaction documents; and
Preparation of title reports, recording schedules and other reports.

Title: Land Lead Description: Functional position leading a functional team of Landmen, Land Associates, and Land Techs which are integrated in to asset based teams including engineers, geologists. Position reports to the Land Manager, Gulf Coast.
