2008 HAPL SOUTH TEXAS SOCIAL The annual HAPL South Texas Social was held on Thursday, March 27, 2008 at the Armadillo Palace on Kirby. A very enthusiastic crowd of approximately 165 Landmen and other oil and gas professionals gathered to socialize, make some new contacts and discuss these exciting times in the oil patch. Due to the generous contributions of our sponsors, the Armadillo Palace served the great Goode Company Bar-B-Q, cold beer and provided complimentary valet parking. Membership Renewal

Annual Membership Renewal Procedure We would like to explain the renewal process to our membership. Renewal must be made on line. In an email generated to the membership there will be a link which will take you to the HAPL website where you can renew your membership. While on that renewal page you will then have the option to proceed with paying online or paying by check. Paying with Credit Card online When you select the option to pay online you will be taken to our merchant account provider, Linkpoint Connect, where you will be prompted to complete credit card information. You will have the option to pay by VISA, Mastercard and American Express. After you complete the credit card information you will submit the information. When you do this, and this could be a little confusing, you may get a warning message on your screen saying that by continuing you will be taken to an unsecure site. Don’t worry about this. Downloading HAPL Events and Member Contacts onto Your Outlook Calendar Yes, even the computer challenged can transfer Events and Member Contact information direct from our site to your Outlook Calendar with just a couple clicks of the mouse. Copy an Event to your Outlook Calendar Start on the homepage (you don’t need to be logged in) Click on the event of interest On the event page look for a row of 5 icons in the upper right hand side of the page Click on the icon that looks like a rectangle calendar A new window will open…click on the yellow text link that starts with “Your export…” On the small window that opens, click on “Open” On the Outlook Calendar window that just opened, make any adjustments such as reminder info and click “Save and Close” You’re done! Remember! This procedure does not register you for that event…it’s just for your Outlook Calendar. Copy a Member’s Contact...

About the New Website

We have replaced the previous site with this more technology advanced and content rich website. But most importantly, we have upgraded the site to facilitate sharing of information and interaction with our membership. Highlights of this new site include: Event Listing and Calendar – A complete, up-to-date listing of HAPL events. Click on an event and learn more about the event and how to register. Membership Directory – Logon to search HAPL members by name, address or company. Follow these steps to for the initial login. 1. On the homepage (look on left side under the menu bar), click on the link Forgot Your Password? (dont enter anything in the boxes yet). 2. Youll be taken to a new page which is titled at the top: Forgot Your Password?. 3. Enter your work email address in the box below and click Send My Password. 4. The system will send you a password to that email address. 5. Once you get the password, go back to the homepage, enter your same email address...
