The Oil & Gas Lease for the Land Professional


 

Energy Land Institute will present a seminar entitled The Oil & Gas Lease for the Land Professional at the Fulbright Tower Auditorium (Mezzanine Level) in Houston, on January 29, 2009, from 7:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
 
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Developed for the landman, the lease and title analyst, and the division order analyst, this seminar will review and discuss each of the clauses found in the typical oil and gas lease, from beginning to end, including the granting, Mother Hubbard, habendum, royalty, pooling, delay rental, continuous operations, and proportionate reduction clauses. We will also take a look at riders such as the Pugh, surface use/damage, free royalty, special pooling, depth severance, and protection from drainage clauses, among others often requested by lessors. Special emphasis will be given to avoiding conflicting provisions.
