On Saturday April 12th, the Service Committee will be holding its annual softball game with the residents of Brookwood Community.  Brookwood is located in Brookshire just west of Houston and provides residential services to mentally challenged adults.  This is a wonderful opportunity for a family community service project, so think about helping out and bringing your children or grandchildren. It is also a great opportunity to meet other members of HAPL. The all-American lunch will be catered by James Coney Island - Hot Dogs to all.  We also will have a special appearance this year by the "Coney Man".

The committee is REALLY looking for some “new blood” with some new ideas! If being involved is something you enjoy, please consider this committee. You do not have to visit the funded agencies; you just have to talk to them on the phone about their financial needs. You can visit them if you desire.
