HAPL November Joint Luncheon with SIPES

HAPL Service Committee - Christmas Charity Project

If you are looking for an idea for helping others at Christmas time, the Service Committee has a suggestion for you. Just bring a Target gift card (at least $35) with you to the November Luncheon. The cards will be used to purchase gifts for distribution at Christian Community Service Center’s Jingle Bell Express in December. HAPL has been involved with CCSC for close to fifteen years. The agency provides food and financial assistance to people in need at two locations. It also provides training for individuals wanting to find employment through its Jobnet program and Martha’s Way, training for domestics.

Jingle Bell Express is one of its seasonal programs. It provides an opportunity for parents to select a new unwrapped gift for each child in the family. With CCSC’s partnership with Target, the Service Committee will be able to order on-line gifts for the program that will be delivered directly to the agency.   Please consider making this an extra Christmas present.

CCSC requests that all presents be at least $35.00 in value, please take this into consideration when purchasing a gift card. Tax receipts will be available at the November luncheon for your contribution.

1 RPL/CPL credit will be available.

If you make a reservation, pay for it, and later decide to cancel it before the reservation deadline, you can apply for a refund through the HAPL Office.   We must receive your request to cancel your registration in writing by email at hapl@hapl.org or fax at  713-622-3723.  You will receive the total amount charged minus a $5.00 credit card processing fee.  The deadline for this event is Tuesday, November 18th @ 5:00 p.m.

When you request a refund, include the credit-card number that you used to pay for the reservation and the confirmation e-mail you received when you paid. If you have lost that e-mail, send as much information as you can about the name and date of the event, the date that you paid, and how much you paid.  Refunds cannot be made for reservations that were paid for, but not cancelled before the reservations deadline. When that happens, you are considered a no-show.

All pre-registered members/guests for this event that have not prepaid and do not attend will be billed as a no-show.

*If paying by check, the price of the luncheon is $30 for members and $35 for non-members before the reservation deadline.*

Gregg Robertson was raised in Corpus Christi, graduating from Ray High School in 1974 and then Sewanee with a B.A. in English in 1978.  He then attended graduate school in Geology at The University of Texas, Austin from 1979-1980.  Gregg returned to Corpus Christi to work in the family oil business, First Rock, Inc., founded by his father Rock Robertson in 1975.  Their initial activities as geological consultants expanded into drilling and production operations and a well service company in 1984 and since then, the company has participated in many joint ventures with larger independents.  In 2008, First Rock joined with Petrohawk Energy in the discovery of the Hawkville (Eagle Ford Shale) Field, which has become the core asset for the company ever since.
