HAPL Tribute to Education Luncheon
This luncheon meeting will be highlighted by HAPL bestowing the Elizabeth Brand Memorial Award to an outstanding teacher from both the Houston Independent School District and the Spring Branch Independent School District. HAPL is the only professional organization in Houston that recognizes outstanding educators with a monetary award on an annual basis. A representative from HAPL is invited to attend HISD's Awards Banquet to announce HAPL's Outstanding Teacher Award along with HISD's district awards.
In order to make this luncheon possible, we are asking for individual landmen to sponsor a teacher(s) and/or their principals at the cost of $30.00 each.
We will also be recognizing and honoring our Scholarship Recipients at this luncheon. Again, we are asking for individual landmen to sponsor a students(s) and/or parent at the cost of $30.00 each. There will be students receiving scholarships of $1,000.00 each given by HAPL as well as a scholarship for a PLM student in the amount of $1,000.00. This is our eighth year to award these scholarships and are looking forward to awarding many more in the years to come. This of course is made possible by our generous sponsors for this event.

Refunds
If you make a reservation, pay for it, and later decide to cancel it before the reservation deadline (registration deadlines are found on the event page), you can apply for a refund through the HAPL Office. hapl@hapl.org, 713-622-3723 (Fax) or 713-622-6868 (V). The request for a refund must be in writing (fax, letter or email). You will receive the total amount charged minus a $2.00 processing credit card fee.
Include the credit-card number that you used to pay for the reservation and the confirmation e-mail you received when you paid. If you have lost that e-mail, send as much information as you can about the name and date of the event, the date that you paid, and how much you paid.
Refunds cannot be made for reservations that were paid for, but not cancelled before the reservations deadline. When that happens, you are considered a no-show.

Notice:
No-shows will be billed! If you make a reservation for yourself or someone else, you are on record as being the person who made it. If we can't find them to send the no-show bill to them, you will get the bill.
