Scott Richardson, a co-founding principal of Richardson Barr & Co., has more than 19 years of investment banking experience devoted exclusively to upstream clients. Mr. Richardson’s transaction experience includes the sale of both public and private E&P companies, private and public debt transactions, fairness opinions, general advisory, and asset divestitures.
From 2000 – 2002, Mr. Richardson was a Managing Director and Co-head of the Houston office of Waterous & Co., where he was responsible for business development for the U.S. practice. From 1997 – 2000, Mr. Richardson headed Chase Manhattan’s oil and gas practice in Canada (a J.P. Morgan predecessor). From 1987 – 2000, he held various commercial and investment banking positions with J.P. Morgan Chase-related entities in the U.S. Ultimately, while at J.P. Morgan Chase-related entities, Mr. Richardson originated transactions in excess of $10 billion.
Mr. Richardson’s professional speaking engagements include many to the SPE, Herold’s, and the IPAA. He earned his BBA in Finance from Southern Methodist University in 1985.
