Please come and join in the fun on Saturday, February 19th at Christian Community Service Center(“CCSC”) from 9:00 am until noon. The Service Committee has been asked to come and help in the sorting of non-perishable foods collected through both the Super Bowl of Caring and several Boy Scout Troops food drives. We will be working in the warehouse space of the new CCSC Administration Building located at 3434 Branard, Houston, TX 77027. The building is in the Greenway Plaza area, just east of Edloe, between Richmond Ave and Alabama St. 

CCSC is a long-time recipient of funds from HAPL by grants awarded by the Service Committee. It is a coalition of 39 churches. The Emergency Services arm of the organization provides food and clothing as well as rent and utility assistance to those living in an area of town roughly described as Sharpstown on the West and the University of Houston on the East; Braes Bayou on the South and the North Loop on North. To learn more about this organization visit https://ccschouston.org/.

CCSC has requested that we limit attendance to 25. So, please email Mimi McGehee, Service Committee Chair, if you would like to come help at mrm1915@aol.com. If we do not get 25 HAPL members, the event will be opened up to allow children of participants to come and join in the fun.
